DUSHANBE, October 17, 2008, Asia-Plus – Iran”s Ambassador to Tajikistan Ali- Asghar Sherdoust said the value of the two countries” economic transactions has increased 3.5 folds in March—August this year, IRNA said.   

Sherdoust added the figure indicates that the two countries” potentials have been properly used.

Referring to the US$160 million annual Tehran-Dushanbe trade exchange, he stated that Iran and Tajikistan share many potentials for expansion of the two-way ties in all fields.

The diplomat said among other priorities of his mission is bolstering ties between Iran and Tajikistan and accelerating implementation of economic and development projects.
