DUSHANBE, June 11, 2013, Asia-Plus  — The five-year-old boy that was reported missing on June 9 was found on the next day and returned to his parents.

According to the Interior Ministry’s website, the 5-year-old Muhammadjon Toshev disappeared after he went outside in the Ispechak neighborhood on June 9.  Parents of the boy reported his missing to the police station in Dushanbe’s Sino district on the same day.

Police officers found out that unknown man took him away.  The 48-year-old resident of the Shahrinav district, Abdusalom Rajabov, was detained on June 10 on suspicion of having committed that crime.

Muhammadjon was returned to his parents on the same day.

Meanwhile, the investigation has established that on June 8, Rajabov took three children – Khusrav Orifjonov, Farrukhjon Orifjonov and Foziljon Bouriyev – from the city of Qurghon Teppa, the capital of Khatlon province to the Bokhtar district of Khatlon.  The children were found on the same day.

The Interior Ministry’s website says that medical examination established that Abdusalom Rajabov is mentally ill.

We will recall that two Dushanbe cousins – Sabina and Malika Aralova, age 4 and 6 — have been reported missing since late March.  They disappeared after they went outside to play on March 25.  Jumakhon Karimov, an official with the Ministry of Interior, told journalists on April 29 that is now classified as a kidnapping rather than a missing-persons case.  Karimov said that the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and Interpol had been involved in the investigation into the disappearance of the girls.
