DUSHANBE, September 24, 2008, Asia-Plus  — Over the first eight months of this year, net profit of Eskhata Bank has amounted to seven million somoni (equivalent to some 2.049 million US dollars), which two times more than in the same period of 2007, press release issued by the bank said.     

Aggregate income of Eskhata Bank also doubled in the year to September 1, 2008, reaching 38 million somoni (more than US$11 million).   

The remainder Eskhata Bank’s deposit portfolio rose 160 percent over the report period, reaching more than 57 million somoni.     

Compare to January-June 2007, the bank’s loan portfolio has increased by 231 percent and amounted to more than 153 million somoni.  

Established in November 1993, a privately owned Eskhata Bank, with headquarters in Khujand, has eight branches and 100 money transfer outlets in various regions of the country.  The bank got operating license in 1994.
