DUSHANBE, September 23, 2008, Asia-Plus  — The grain-harvesting campaign is ongoing in the country. 

According to Narzullo Dadaboyev, a spokesman for the Ministry of Agriculture (MoA), farmers have harvested grains from 227,259 hectares to this date, which is 77.7 percent of a total area of fields under grains. 

Wheat has been planted on the area of 220,389 hectares this year and farmers have harvested 351,246 tons of wheat from 195,225 hectares so fa; average wheat yields have been reported of 1.87 tons/ha.
