Dushanbe. 21 August. “Asia-Plus” – Tajik President, Emamali Rahman, met with the Prime-Minister of Kyrgyzstan, Zhantoro Satybaldiev, who is visiting Dushanbe with an official visit, and taking part in the high level International Conference on Water Issues.

As the President”s press office reports, during the meeting the parties underlined the similarity of the two states” positions in solving effective usage of the regions” water resources and environmental issues.

Based on the publicized information, the parties paid special attention to the implementation of earlier reached pacts and agreements, which numbers 87, and 5 other documents are accepted to be signed soon.

The parties expressed satisfaction with trade volume between the two countries. The rate in the first five months of this year has increased by five-fold.

 

The publicized information notes: “Issues of railroad construction, connecting Russia with Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan, also China-Kyrgyzstan-Tajikistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan railroad, CASA-1000 implementation, which would provide electricity from Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan into Afghanistan and Pakistan.”
