DUSHANBE, October 17, 2013, Asia-Plus — All Tajik medical facilities, irrespective of forms of property, are now liable to the mandatory accreditation.
Under amendments proposed to the country’s public health law that were endorsed at an October 17 sitting of the Majlisi Namoyandagon (Tajikistan’s lower chamber of parliament) all medical, pharmaceutical and sanatorium facilities, irrespective of forms of property, are liable to the mandatory accreditation with the Ministry of Health (MoH).
Speaking at the session, the First Deputy Minister of Health, Ms. Saida Jobirova, noted that the accreditation of all categories of medical facilities with the Ministry of Health will promote improvement of the level of medical service offered to the population and bring the level of Tajik medicine nearer to requirements of international standards.
