DUSHANBE, August 14, 2008, Asia-Plus  — On Tuesday August 12, Head of Tajikistan’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI), Sharif Said, met with a group of Polish businessmen, including Jaroslav Bojarski, president of the board of Polish POL-ROG Capital Group, Lecek Pedrishch (phonetically spelled), vice-president of POL-DROG for financial and investment matters, Pyotr Volnevich, director general of the Tajik-Polish joint venture Vermontstroy and others, according to the CCI press service. 

During the meeting, Mr. Bojarski said that his company intends to construct two multistory residential buildings in Dushanbe.  According to him, they are also ready to invest in projects for construction roads, schools and hospitals in Tajikistan.  

The POL-DROG top manager noted that they are also ready to launch a construction enterprise in Dushanbe with use of the Polish equipment, the press service said.

During their stay in Tajikistan, the Polish businessmen are also scheduled to hold talks senior representatives of the ministries of transport and communications, education, and health to discuss cooperation issues.  

POL-DROG Capital Group is a wholly Polish-owned company.  It employs highly qualified technical and engineering personnel.  The current number of personnel exceeds 1900.  POL-DRÓG provides a wide range of services in the road-building sector, being one of the major producers of road mixtures in Poland.  It has production facilities located within the area in which the companies belonging to the Group conduct their operations.  21 companies currently make up POL-DROG Capital Group, which is one of the most significant producers of the road mixes in Poland.
