KHUJAND, August 14, 2008, Asia-Plus — The Sughd Organization of Assistance to Defense has trained conscripts in two the most demanded military specialties – driver and radio-telegrapher, the Sughd defense support organization chief, Colonel Murodjon Jalolov, said in an interview with Asia-Plus.
According to him, conscripts have been trained at unified technical schools in Khujand, Konibodom, Panajkent and Istaravshan.
“To date, 340 men of conscript age living in the Sughd province have received driving and radio-telegraphing licenses,” Colonel Jalolov said, adding that other 161 young men are currently taking three-month training courses at the mentioned unified technical schools.
