DUSHANBE, August 14, 2008, Asia-Plus  — Five persons, including four Chinese nationals, were killed on August 11 as a vehicle fell into the Zarafshon River, Sughd’s Ayni district, the Committee for Emergency Situations (CES) told Asia-Plus Wednesday afternoon.  

The source at a CES said that the Chinese nationals killed in the accident had worked with Chinese China Road, which is implementing the project for rehabilitation of the Dushanbe-Khujand-Chanak (Uzbekistan) road.  

“Bodies of three Chinese nationals have been found so far,” the source said, noting that the search operation is going on.
