DUSHANBE, March 1, 2014, Asia-Plus – Tajik and Turkish foreign ministries held political consultations in Ankara on February 28, according to the Tajik MFA information department.
Tajik delegation was led by Deputy Foreign Minister Nizomiddin Zohidov and Turkish delegation was led by Deputy Foreign Minister Ali Kemal Aydin.
The delegations reportedly discussed issue related to political, economic, cultural, and educational cooperation between the two countries.
They also discussed cooperation between Tajikistan and Turkey within the framework of regional and international organizations.
On the sidelines of the consultations, Zohidov held talks with Turkish Principal Deputy Foreign Minister Naci Koru.
The two expressed satisfaction with the current level of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Turkey and confirmed their interest in further expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries, the source said.
