PANJAKENT, August 4, 2008, Asia-Plus  — A summer school for training teachers and schoolchildren trainers on life skills for health and youth participation has concluded at the children’s summer camp Zuhal in the Sughd province.

The summer school was held by local public association The Young Generation of Tajikistan within the framework of the “Life Skills fro Health and Youth Participation” Project.  The training was modeled after the “equal-to-equal” principle. 

Speaking in an interview with Asia-Plus, the project coordinator Dmitry Son said that the training participants included 100 school students and 128 teachers from Khujand, Chkalovsk, Isfara, Panjakent, Qairoqqum and Bobojonghafurov, and they will now conduct seminars at their schools in accordance with the “equal-to-equal” principle.  

One of the objectives of the summer school was to promote implementation of the educational program on health lifestyle in the pilot schools, the project coordinator said.
