DUSHANBE, April 16, 2014, Asia-Plus – Tajik parliamentarians participated in sessions of commissions of inter-parliamentary assemblies of the CIS, the Eurasian Economic Community (EAEC) and that Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) that took place in St. Petersburg on April 16.

Muhammadato Sultonov, a spokesman for Tajikistan’s lower house (Majlisi Namoyandagon), says the sessions, in particular, discussed issues related to culture, information, tourism and sports, agrarian policy, natural resources, international cooperation, etc.

The Majlisi Namoyandagon members Ubaidullo Davlatov, Amirqul Azimov, Olimjon Salimzoda, Dalatali Davlatzoda, Ismoil Talbakov, Suhrob Sharipov, Saodat Amirshoyeva and Munavvara Kenjayeva reportedly delivered statements at the sessions.

On April 17 and 18, Tajik delegation will attend sessions of the Council of Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of member nations of CIS, EAEC and CSTO, Sultonov said.

Tajik parliamentarians will also attend an international forum “Economic Perspectives of Eurasia.”
