DUSHANBE, August 1, 2008, Asia-Plus — Three Uzbek nationals, who are wanted by Uzbek police on suspicion of having committed a number of crimes in the territory of Uzbekistan, will be extradited to the Uzbek aw enforcement authorities at the border-crossing checkpoint Bratstvo in the Tursunzoda district, some 45 kilometers to the west of Dushanbe, on August 3, Asia-Plus has learned at the main border service within the State Committee for National Security (GKNB).
According to the border service, the extradition will be held on the sidelines of representatives of Tajik and Uzbek border services that will be held at the border-crossing checkpoint the same day.
“Tajik and Uzbek border representatives will discuss ways to expand cooperation between the border services of the two countries,” the source at the Tajik border service said.
