DUSHANBE, August 1, 2008, Asia-Plus  — On Friday August 1, President Emomali Rahmon had telephone conversations with administrators of the Sughd province as well as Hissor, Yovon, Vahdat and Danghara districts to discuss economic results, according to presidential press service.    

The regional administrators reported on a progress of a repeated sowing campaign on the irrigated areas.   

A special attention was paid to the implementation of president’s instructions on efficient use of the irrigated lands, increasing domestic food productions and preparations for the winter.

The president set specific tasks to provide educational facilities with all necessary equipment and make them ready for the new academic year.

The head of state also charged the regional administrators to make adequate preparations for celebrations to mark the 1500th birthday of founder of Tajik-Persian classical literature Abu Abdullo Roudaki.
