DUSHANBE, July 29, Asia-Plus — officers from Tajik counter narcotics agency and customs service took par at a regional meeting on precursor trafficking in Central Asia that was recently held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
According to press service of the Drug Control Agency (DCA), the meeting, staged by the UNODC Regional Office for Central Asia, brought together representatives of relevant services from Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
The meeting participants considered issues related to legal trade in precursors in Central Asia and exchanged views on new methods of control over legal trade in precursors.
They also discussed creation of database on illicit trafficking in precursors and use of traded data systems of the Global Trade Information Services (GTIS), the press service said.
