DUSHANBE, July 29, 2008, Asia-Plus — The Dushanbe mayor’s office considered the present sanitary situation in the city at a July 28 meeting, presided over by it head, Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev.
Shavkat Saidov, a spokesman for the Dushanbe mayor, said that Ubaidulloyev had harshly criticized municipal official for inopportune garbage disposal.
Chairman of Dushanbe’s Ismoili Somoni district and three his deputies as well as three deputies of chairman of Dushanbe’s Sino districts were reprimanded. They were cautioned to improve their work until August 15, the spokesman said.
The meeting also considered issues related to reparation of the city for hosting a summit of heads of state of member nations of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO). All works should be finished before August 15.
