DUSHANBE, June 25, 2014, Asia-Plus – Tajik President Emomali Rahmon and wife, Azizamoh Rahmon, visited the Petronas Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur today morning as part of his four-day state visit to Malaysia, Malaysian news agency

He spent about 45 minutes visiting the Twin Towers, including taking a walk on the sky bridge and enjoying a bird”s eye view of the Klang Valley from the observation deck at Level 86.

He and his delegates appeared to be impressed by the architecture of the skyscrapers, which held the title of the world”s tallest buildings from 1998-2004.

During the visit, the president was accompanied by KLCC Property Holdings Bhd chief executive officer, Datuk Hashim Wahir and Petronas senior general manager of the Strategic Communications Division, Norliza Kamaruddin.

The Petronas Towers, also known as the Petronas Twin Towers are twin skyscrapers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.  According to the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH)”s official definition and ranking, they were the tallest buildings in the world from 1998 to 2004.  The buildings are a landmark of Kuala Lumpur, along with nearby Kuala Lumpur Tower.
