            DUSHANBE, July 17, 2002, Asia-Plus  — The 14th session of the Dushanbe legislature (Majlis) that was held on July 17 issued a resolution to perpetuate the memory of Hero of the Soviet Union Pave Khanzhin.

            Under this resolution, the southern part of the Korolyov Street, at which headquarters of the Russian military base is located, is renamed the Hero of he Soviet union Pavel Khanzhin Street. 

We will recall that the last Hero of the Soviet union from Tajikistan, Pavel Khanzhin, died in Dushanbe on October 15, 2007.
