ISFARA, July 14, 2008, Asia-Plus — The grain-harvesting campaign is progressing in the northern district of Isfara.
According to the Isfara agriculture directorate, they have harvested grains from an area of 968 hectares so far, and average grain yields in the district are 2.79 tons per hectare. 0an
Farming units Dousti, Chorkhuh and Lakkon have reported harvests of up to 3.4-4.0 tons per hectare.
Local specialists expect the Isfara farmers to produce more than 4,500 tons of cereals this year.
