DUSHANBE, July 5, Asia-Plus  — Three new schools will open in the city of Tursunzoda, some 50 kilometers west of Dushanbe, in the new school year, Muminjon Abdulloyev, the head of the Tursunzoda education department, said in an interview with Asia-Plus.  

According to him, these educational facilities, including  presidential lyceum for gifted children and schools ## 13 and 17, will be officially opened on July 10 and 11 and President Emomali Rahmon is supposed to attend the school-opening ceremonies. 

Construction of the presidential lyceum for gifted children has been funded by Tajikistan Aluminum Company (Talco) that has allocated 2.6 million somonis for this project, Abdulloyev said.  The lyceum will accommodate 320 pupils.    

School # 13 consists of three two-story buildings to accommodate totaling 640 pupils.  The Tursunzoda budget ahs allocated 4 million somonis for construction of this school. 

School # 17 to accommodate 340 pupils has been built at the expense of the Ministry of Education (MoE), which has allocated 1.1 million somonis for construction of this school.  This school is planned to accommodate children of settlers from the Khatlon province relocated to the village of Qizil Yul in the Tursunzoda district, the education department head said.
