DUSHANBE, May 26, Asia-Plus  — The board (Shuro) of the lower house (Majlisi Namoyandagon) of Tajik parliament considered bills requiring measures to protect Tajikistan’s economic interest in external trade at a May 26 session, presided over by its head, Saydullo Khairulloyev.  

Muhammadato Sultonov, a spokesman for the Majlisi Namoyandagon, said that the board had also considered draft amendments to laws on order of observing traditions and self-government bodies in settlements and villages.  

The board also considered Tajikistan’s agreements with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on legal assistance in citizenship, external trade issues and extradition on criminal proceedings and with Egypt on cooperation in combating crime.    

Some of these issues will be considered at the next sitting of fourth session of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the third convocation on May 28, the spokesman said.
