Russian embassy, military base 201 arrange celebrations in honor of war veterans

DUSHANBE, May 6, Asia-Plus  — A concert dedicated to the 63 rd anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, staged by the Russian Embassy in Dushanbe and command of Russian military base 201, will be held at Russian Drama Theatre named after Vladimir Mayakovsky in Dushanbe on May 7, Kamil Magomedov, 2nd Secretary, Russian Embassy, said in an interview with Asia-Plus.

Ensembles Slavyane and West at Russian-Tajik Slavonic University (RTSU) and Russian military base’s orchestra will participate in the concert.  

Russian Ambassador to Tajikistan, Mr. Ramazan Abdulatipov, Russian military base commander, major-General Aleksey Zavizyon, and the Dushanbe War Veterans’ Council, Mr. A. Qurbonov, will address the meeting to congratulate war veterans on occasion of Victory Day.

On May 8, the Russian Embassy in Dushanbe organizes reception on occasion of the Victory Day.  The reception participants include war veterans and representatives of Tajik veterans’ organizations, Russian and Tajik armed forces, as well as representatives of diplomatic missions and international organizations, public associations and media.
