Dushanbe. 4 September. “Asia Plus” —  A 36-year-old resident of Isfara turned to the bodies of Internal Affairs with the statement that on June 25 this year the worker of Metrology Department of the regional center for analysis in Isfara and his accomplice – a 35-year-old unemployed man through the blackmail took 90 thousand USD from him.

For this money they promised him to assist in the rejection of the alleged criminal proceedings against him initiated in the Russian Federation.

As reports the press service of the Tajik Interior Ministry, later the extortionists have demanded additional 10 thousand US dollars from him.

In the course of search operations by the police, on September 1 at about 13:15, the above-mentioned persons were detained when receiving the extorted sum of $ 10 thousand.

With regard of suspects was initiated a criminal case, investigation is underway.
