KHOROG, April 24, Asia-Plus  — 68 offences have been registered at the Khorog Garrison, Gorno Badakhshan over the first quarter of this year, which is half the size compared to the same period of last year, the Khorog military prosecutor Farmon Sahripov announced at a press conference in Khorog on April 23.

Many of the reported offences are connected with “dedovshchina,” the often brutal hazing of new recruits by older soldiers, the prosecutor said.

Investigation into ten criminal proceedings has already been completed and they have moved to the garrison’s military court, Sahripov said.
