Tajik diplomat, Afghanistan’s CEO discuss ways to stabilize situation along the Tajik-Afghan border

DUSHANBE, October 7, 2015, Asia-Plus – Tajik Ambassador to Afghanistan Sharofiddin Imomov yesterday met in Kabul with the Chief Executive Officer of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan D. Abdullah Abdullah.

According to the press center of Afghanistan’s CEO, the two discussed issues related to stabilization of the situation along the Tajik-Afghan border.

Abdullah and Imomov also discussed issues of providing peace and stability in border areas and the Afghan refugee situation.

Meanwhile, the Tajik MFA information department reported yesterday that Tajik Consulate in Kunduz has temporarily suspended its operations after its building was partially damaged as a result of gun battles between the Afghan government forces and Taliban militants.
