DUSHANBE, April 18, Asia-Plus  — A decision on creating a water-energy consortium in Central Asia is expected to be made in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan at the end of April. 

Kyrgyzstan’s news agency 24kg reported that members of the Kyrgyz-Kazakh intergovernmental commission reached an agreement on this subject at a session that was held in Astana, Kazakhstan on April 16.  

The session considered the possibility of signing of an agreement on creating the consortium by Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.  

The sides set concrete terms for solving this issue and planned to hold a meeting for making a final decision on this issue in Bishkek on April 29-30, the news agency said.
