DUSHANBE, March 2, 2016, Asia-Plus – On Monday February 29, the Washington Intergovernmental Professional Group and the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center organized their next International Speakers Forum that featured a conversation with Tajik Ambassador to the United States Farhod Salim.
Ambassador Salim reportedly shared his perspectives on trade and investment opportunities, tourism, and the bilateral relations between Tajikistan and the United States.
Tajik diplomat, in particular, went into detail on efforts taken by the Government of Tajikistan to achieve three strategic goals: 1) bringing the country out of a communication deadlock; 2) providing energy independence; and 3) providing food security.
Ambassador Salim also answered numerous questions of representatives of the U.S. official bodies and business community, diplomats, researchers and journalists who attended the event.
