SCO emergencies ministers gather in Bishkek for the third conference

DUSHANBE, September 19, Asia-Plus — Mahmadullo Zokirov, the head of the State for Emergency Situations and Civil Defense (CES), today morning left for Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan to attend the third conference of emergencies ministers from member nations of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) that is being held in the Kyrgyz capital today. 

.The conference, which has brought together emergencies ministers from China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, is considering the issue son emergency recovery and prevention of emergency situations.    

On September 17, experts from these countries met in Bishkek to elaborate standard documents on providing assistance in mitigating effects of natural disasters and anthropogenic catastrophes.  The ministers are expected to sign these documents.  

Kyrgyzstan’s 24.kg says that Kyrgyz Emergencies Minister Tourarbek Jushunaliyev today morning already held bilateral meetings with his counterparts from Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.
