DUSHANBE, March 18, Asia-Plus  — Education Minister Abdujabbor Rahmonov is supposed to visit the Sughd province today to get acquainted with a state of education sector and the quality of education process at local higher educational institutions, Asia-Plus has learned from Noilsho Nouraliyev, a spokesman for the ministry of education (MoE).  

According to him, the minister visited the Khatlon province last weekends (March 15-16) to familiarize himself with activities of higher educational institutions in the province. 

“The minister noted that the quality of education process at the Khatlon higher educational institutions leaves to be much desired,” the spokesman said.  

 In Qurghon Teppa, the minister held meeting with the first-year students at Qurghon Teppa State University who had entered the university in accordance with presidential quota.  Rahmonov expressed dissatisfaction with low level of their knowledge.  

The minister ordered the Khatlon education authorities to take measures to improve activities of all educational facilities in the province.
