Rahmon invites his Afghan counterpart to pay visit to Tajikistan

DUSHANBE, March 25, 2016, Asia-Plus – On March 20, Tajik President Emomali Rahmon had a telephone conversation with his Afghan counterpart Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, according to the Tajik president’s official website.

The two presidents congratulated each other and the peoples of the two countries on the Navrouz holiday.

They reportedly discussed state and prospects of further expansion of cooperation between their countries.

Emomali Rahmon invited Mohammad Ashraf Ghani to pay an official visit to Tajikistan and to take part in an official ceremony of commencement of construction a regional power transmission line CASA 1000, the website said.
