DUSHANBE, March 7, Asia-Plus  — Tajik-Ukrainian negotiations in Dushanbe have ended with signing of 10 bilateral cooperation documents.  

The negotiations between the governmental delegations of Tajikistan and Ukraine were held today following talks of the presidents of the two countries.

President Emomali Rahmon and his Ukrainian counterpart, President Viktor Yushchenko, inked two documents – the Joint Statement and the Plan of Tajikistan-Ukraine Actions for 2008-2009. 

Besides, ministries and organizations of the two countries signed eight cooperation agreements: government-to-government agreement on aerial communication; a protocol on exchange of notes on ratification of an agreement on friendship and cooperation; a protocol on exchange of notes on ratification of an agreement on transfer of convicted persons for further serving sentences; an agreement between the Tajik agency for construction and architecture and the Ukrainian ministry of regional development and construction on mutual recognition of state licenses for construction activities;  a cooperation agreement between the Tajik Sughd province and the Ukrainian Dneprotervsk region;  a memorandum between the Tajik ministry of energy and industries and the Ukrainian ministry of industrial policy; a memorandum between the Tajik ministry of energy and industries and the Ukrainian ministry of energy and fuel; and a protocol to the plan of actions on expansion of cooperation between the Tajik ministry of energy and industries and the Ukrainian ministry for industrial policy in the field of nonferrous metallurgy.
