DUSHANBE, March 6, Asia-Plus — On Wednesday March 5, UNICEF CO Tajikistan sent five trucks loaded with blankets, hygienic kits, generators, and kerosene stoves  to the Khatlon province for local orphanages and boarding schools, Sulton Khudoibergenov, public relations coordinator, UNICEF CO, said.  

According to him, the assistance will be handed over to 24 boarding schools, orphanages and some district education departments and committees for women’s affairs.  The education departments will distribute the humanitarian aid to the vulnerable families, Khudoibergenov said.  

            24 boarding schools are houses for totaling more than 3,000 children, with 10 percent of them being orphan children.
