DUSHANBE, March 5, Asia-Plus — Five Tajik companies such as Ziyoratshoh, Tajikkabel, Dilnoz, Bibi Maryam and the Union of Entrepreneurs and Exporters of Tajikistan are participating at a March 3-6 INDO-CIS Reverse Buyer Meet 2008 in Jalandhar and Bangalore, India.
According to the Indian embassy in Dushanbe, the meeting has been staged by India’s Engineering Export Promotion Council (EEPC).
The main objective of the meeting is to provide an opportunity to prospective importers in CIS area to interact with Indian counterparts about their requirements and provide an opportunity to Indian exporters to adjudge the acceptability of their products in the above markets, so that they are in a position to plan their strategy accordingly.
Indian companies are interested in investing in development of mining sector and production of cement in Tajikistan, the source said.
In the meantime, India’s Chemicals Pharmaceuticals & Cosmetics Export Promotion Council (CHEMEXCIL) organizes a meeting in Mumbai on March 28-30 to promote interaction among Indian and Tajik businesspeople on trade in dye stuffs, organic and inorganic chemical products, cosmetics, etc. Companies such as Tekstil (Textiles), Asia Trading, Isfara, Khimzavod (chemical plant) and Barakat will represent Tajikistan at this meeting.
