Arms cache discovered in Hissor

DUSHANBE, March 4, Asia-Plus  — Officers from the Hissor police directorate have discovered an arms cache in the territory of the Sharora jamoat, according to the Ministry of Interior (MoI).    

The source at a MoI said that the cache was discovered on March 2 and three sub-machine-guns Kalashnikov, 20 magazines for them, two grenade launchers, three cartridge belts for the machine-gun Kalashnikov and some 20,000 bullets of different calibers had been extracted from the hide. 

            According to the MoI, more than 270 firearms have been confiscated since the beginning of the year.  The majority of them are a legacy of the country’s civil war.
