            DUSHANBE, February 21, Asia-Plus  — Minister for Agriculture and Environmental Protection Qosim Qosimov today went to the Khatlon province for a three-day working visit, press service of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection (MoAEP) said.

The aim of his visit to the province is to get acquainted with a progress of preparations fro the sowing campaign, which is usually launched in late March, after the Navrouz holidays (March 21-22).  

            During his stay in the province, the minister is familiarizing himself with a progress of ploughing work and provision of farming units with fuel, mineral fertilizers and seeds.  Qosimov is visiting only five cotton-growing districts in Khatlon’s Kulob region – Farkhor, Danghara, Vose, Kulob and Hamadoni.    

            During the visit, the minister will also discuss with local authorities the issue of providing loans to farming units.
