DUSHANBE, August 5, 2016, Asia-Plus – Two people were killed and three others injured on August 3 as a rockfall swept  a car into the river in the Rushan district of the Gorno Badakhshan Autonomous Region (GBAO).

According to the Interior Ministry’s website, the accident took place near the Badrudi (phonetically spelled) area at about 9:00 pm.  A rockfall swept YUAZ-469 into the Bartang River.

Two passengers were killed while the driver and two other passengers sustained various injuries were taken to the Rushan district central hospital.
