DUSHANBE, August 16, 2016, Asia-Plus – Over the first seven months of this year, the external trade turnover of Tajikistan, including electrical power, has amounted to about 2.218 billion U.S. dollars, which was 91.9 percent of the January-July 2015 level or 56.6 million U.S. dollars fewer, according the Agency for Statistics under the President of Tajikistan.

The trade balance in January-July this year has been negative and amounted to more than 1.203 billion U.S. dollars.

Exports of goods over the report period have reportedly amounted to 507.2 million U.S. dollars, which was 7.2 percent or 39 million USD less than in the same period last year.

Over the same seven-month period, imports of goods into the country have amounted to more 1.7 billion U.S. dollars, which was 8.4 percent or 156.2 million USD less than in January-July, 2015.

Over the first seven months of this year, Tajikistan has had trade relations with 101 countries of the world, including ten CIS nations.

Over the report period, major trading partners of Tajikistan were: Russia – more than 578 million USD; China – nearly 545 million USD; Kazakhstan – 354.7 million USD; Turkey – 174.4 million USD; etc.
