The President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon congratulated Tajik athlete Dilshod Nazarov with the Olympic gold won at the summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
As reported on the official website of the press service of the President, the head of state stressed that Dilshod Nazarov, winning Olympic gold “defended the honor and dignity of the Tajik people, raised the flag and became the pride of the Tajik people”.
Dilshod Nazarov won the gold medal of the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro in the hammer throw on August 19. He threw a hammer at 78, 68 meters.
This is the first medal in a moneybox of the national team of Tajikistan on these games. In General, it is the first gold of the independent Tajikistan over the last 24 years!
