Rahmon expresses condolences to President Musharraf over assassination of Benazir Bhutto

DUSHANBE, December 28, Asia-Plus  — President Emomali Rahmon today sent a telegram of condolences to his Pakistani counterpart, President Pervez Musharraf, over assassination of the former Pakistani Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto, presidential press service said.   

In his message, the Tajik head of state, in particular, noted that this abominable action demonstrates once again that terrorism does not have nationality or religious belonging and is a global disgraceful phenomenon, combating which requires joining of efforts of the whole international community.

“Tajikistan has always been and remains supporter of relentless fight against this evil,” Rahmon said in the message.  

Tajik president also asked to convey his deep condolences to relatives and friends of Benazir Bhutto and those killed in that terrorist act.
