In the new US strategy for Afghanistan, signed by President Donald Trump, for the first time official Washington warns Pakistan not to support the Taliban movement, Said in an interview with "AP" Tajik expert on modern Afghanistan Kosim Bekmuhammad and told what this strategy basically says.

He recalled that the official authorities of Afghanistan over the past 15 years repeatedly accused Islamabad that Pakistan supports the Taliban with weapons, military equipment, training of militants and finances.. In addition, wounded in battles with soldiers of the Afghan army, the Taliban are being treated in clinics in this particular country.

Bekmukhammad also noted that "the strategy supports the initiative of India on the economic revival of Afghanistan, by the way, the Tajik President Emomali Rahmon repeatedly spoke with this initiative" – the expert said

At the same time, he notes that the new US strategy for Afghanistan is not clear, for example, it is unclear what tools will be used to implement it.

“It is clear to everyone that the additional 4,000 American soldiers sent to Afghanistan are not able to ensure peace in this country, but they are capable for many years to ensure that the United States remains the main player not only in Afghanistan but also in the region. Also, the US troops in Afghanistan will not allow Russia, Iran and China to this country in the role of decisive players”, stressed the expert, noting that this is the main goal of the strategy.
