DUSHANBE, November 26, Asia-Plus  – Defense Minister Sherali Khairulloyev has left for Astana, Kazakhstan to attend a session of the CIC council of defense ministers which is opening there on November 27, press service of the Ministry of Defense (MoD) said .

The CIS defense ministers’ meeting aims to discuss the plan of actions for 2008, as well as the plan of general events of the CIS unified air-defense system for the next year.  

The CIS defense ministers are also expected to consider a progress of implementation of the concept of formation of a common communications system of the armed forces of the CIS states, etc.
