DUSHANBE, November 16, Asia-Plus  — Officers from the Sughd police directorate’s squad for combating drug trafficking (drug police) intercepted nearly 6 kilograms of heroin in the Bobojonghafurov district on Thursday. 

According to the Sughd drug police, resident of Khatlon’s Vose district Khudoiqul Karimov was detained in the Bobojonghafurov district with 5.878 kilograms of opium.

Criminal proceedings have been instituted against him and an investigation is under way.
