More than 90 expensive cell phones, worth nearly 30,000 U.S. dollars, have reportedly been withdrawn from illegal sale in Dushanbe.

According to the press center of the Customs Service under the Government of Tajikistan, the mentioned cell phones have been confiscated at the “Tajikistan” shopping mall.  

Dushanbe resident H.Sh. has been detained on suspicion of organizing sale of cell phones without appropriate documents at the “Tajikistan” shopping mall.  

92 Samsung and Huawei cell phones, worth up to 262,000 somoni (equivalent to some 30,000 U.S. dollars) have been confiscated from him, the press center says. 

Administrative proceedings have been instituted against H.Sh.
