The National Bank of Tajikistan (NBT) has stopped operations of three more microlending agencies, bringing the total number of microlending organizations in the country to seven.
According to the NBT press center, Tajik central bank this month has stopped operations of Ziroat-04, Ganj-2006 and DC Invest microlending organizations.
The mentioned microlending agencies reportedly failed to comply with the NBT’s minimum capital requirements for the microlending organizations and the NBT recalled their operating license
In late October, Tajik central bank recalled operating licenses of Durnamoi Dehoti Roudaki and Fermer (Farmer) microlending organizations for the same reasons.
Meanwhile, twenty-four lending agencies in Tajikistan, including Tajprombank and Fononbonk, are now at the stage of liquidation.
According to data from the National Bank of Tajikistan, 17 banks, 7 microlending agencies, 33 microdeposit organizations and 34 microcredit funds now operate in Tajikistan.
