Anticorruption agency of Tajikistan calls on civil society to comment on the work of ten ministries and departments of the country – The official website of the Agency for State Financial Control and Combating Corruption of Tajikistan says.
In the near future, the Agency intends to conduct a check on the "risks of corruption" in the ministries of finance, health and social protection, agriculture, economic development and trade, labor and employment, education and science.
Such inspections will also be held at the State Property Committee, committees on women and family affairs, youth and sports, television and radio under the Government of Tajikistan.
The official website of the anti-corruption department published a call to the public – to speak out on the openness of the above-mentioned ministries and departments, their work in the sphere of citizens' appeal, the work of their official websites.
Who will fight against whom?
Meanwhile, as the last months show, the main corrupt officials in the country are the employees of the Agency. The Supreme Court is in process immediately against several suspects. Recently, the Supreme Court sentenced the former deputy director of the Anti-Corruption Agency, Davlatbek Khayrzoda, to 10 and a half years' imprisonment. He was found guilty of taking bribes.
And Faridun Benazirzoda, the former deputy head of the Sughd Customs Office, who also worked in the Anti-Corruption Agency, was sentenced to 10.6 years in the "taking bribes".
The process of the "anti-corruption case" began on July 19. There were 14 people on the dock – 10 former fighters against corruption and four ex-colleagues of the Customs Service and other government agencies participating in the case.
