19 drunk drivers detained in Dushanbe over the past week alone

Nineteen persons were detained in Dushanbe from February 19 to February 24 for drunk driving, according to the Dushanbe police department press center.

Among those detained for drunk driving was also driver of the fixed-route taxi (minibus) Rajabali Safarzoda, number plate 4501 TT 05.

Besides, eight drivers were detained over the report period for using fake number plates, 10 other drivers were detained for driving without number plates, eight persons were detained for driving without a driver’s license, 128 people were detained for speeding, and 90 other people were detained for using mobile phone while driving.

2,987 cases of violation of traffic regulations have been reported in Dushanbe over the past week, the Dushanbe police department press center said.
