Karakalpakstan plans to open 19 trade centers, 12 public catering places and 87 public amenities centers in its villages as part of the Year of Development and Improvement of Rural Areas. This will create 6.2 thousand new work places.

Branches of small banks will open in the villages where more than 500 people live.

Information resource centers with multi media equipment and libraries will open in the villages with up to 5,000 villagers in the nearest 3 years.

218 rural schools, 58 preschool education institutions and 35 rural medical facilities will be telephonized.
