Russian media reports say President Putin signed the law on the abolition of national roaming. The corresponding document was published on the official portal of legal information.

According to the law, the operators of mobile radiotelephone communication on your network set the same conditions for the provision of services to each subscriber regardless of the region you are in.  Be paid will be only a phone connection established to the called party outside of Russia.

A law passed by the State Duma (Russia’s lower house of parliament) on December 19 and approved by the Federation Council (Russia’s upper chamber of parliament) on December 21, will come into force on June 1, 2019.

In October it was reported that regional carriers are afraid of financial losses due to the cancellation of charging incoming calls in national roaming. In the Ministry of communications also previously expressed concerns that in the event of the abolition of roaming charges the tariffs for mobile communications will grow.
