President Emomali Rahmon has participated in planting a new apple orchard in his hometown, Danghara.
On February 24, President Emomali Rahmon participated in campaign on planting trees in the Danghara district of the Khatlon province, according to the Tajik president’s official website.
A new apple orchard was reportedly laid out in an area of 100 hectares. Seedlings have been brought from Russia’s Krasnodar region.
While in Danghara, the head of state also held a meeting with local residents to discuss preparations for the 30th anniversary of Tajikistan’s Independence, which will be celebrated on September 9, 2021, the president’s website says.
