German journalists have reportedly shown interest in covering tourism opportunities of Tajikistan.

An event dedicated to the tourism opportunities of Tajikistan has been held at Tajikistan’s Embassy in Berlin.

The event was organized at the initiative of the Tajik Embassy in cooperation with the Association of German Tourism Journalists (CTOUR) in the framework of declaring 2019-2021 the Years of Development of Rural Areas, Tourism and Folk Crafts in Tajikistan.

The event reportedly brought together more than 50 members of CTOUR and representatives of Germany’s relevant ministries, agencies and tour operators.

Speaking at the event, Chairman of the Association German Tourism Journalists, Mr. Hans-Peter Gaul, in particular noted that organization of this kind of joint events raised interest of German media circles in tourism opportunities of Tajikistan.

Tajikistan’s Honorary Consul in Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein State, Mr. Kourosh Purkiyan, noted that the main tasks were to attract Western investments in Tajikistan’s economy, particularly in its tourism sector.

The Association of German Tourism Journalists (CTOUR) reportedly consists of more than 100 professional journalists, bloggers and freelancers, who regularly cover global travel and tourism news in newspapers and magazines as well as in social networking media.
